Organizing & Community Power
Community Organizing
ORMMS empowers families most impacted by injustice by strengthening leadership, unity, and collective action.

ORMMS believes that families most impacted by injustice should have a voice in shaping the systems that affect their lives. Our organizing work focuses on building leadership, unity, and collective action within the Rohingya and Myanmar community.
ORMMS builds community power by bringing parents and youth together through leadership meetings and listening sessions where families share experiences and identify common challenges. We focus on developing leadership and confidence so community members can engage with schools, agencies, and partners and have a real voice in decisions that affect their lives.

Our organizing centers on language access, housing stability, economic opportunity, and youth leadership across generations. We take a culturally respectful, relationship-based approach, focusing on dialogue and community-driven solutions. Our goal is to ensure families are heard, included, and able to shape the systems that impact their community.
