ORMMS is pleased to share a valuable community opportunity from MotherTree Birth Services for individuals interested in becoming a Full-Spectrum Doula. Full scholarships are available for eligible participants who want to support mothers, babies, and families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.
Whether you're looking to begin a new career, serve your community, or expand your healthcare knowledge, this training provides an excellent pathway into the growing field of maternal and family support.
What Is a Doula?
A Doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and educational support to families throughout the childbirth journey.
A doula supports families during:
Pregnancy
Labor and childbirth
The postpartum period after the baby is born
Doulas work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers to help families feel informed, supported, and confident. They do not provide medical care or replace licensed healthcare professionals.

Training Schedule
Birth Doula Training (In Person)
August 6–9, 2026
Postpartum Doula Training (In Person)
August 27–29, 2026
Participants will receive comprehensive training, mentorship, and guidance throughout the certification process.
Program Includes
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Complete Birth and Postpartum Doula training
Meet Oregon Traditional Health Worker requirements
Connect with an experienced doula community
Receive guidance toward Oregon certification
Develop professional skills for a career supporting families
Access ongoing mentorship and community support
Full Scholarships Available
